i need to sugar-detox..tips?sick of feeling like this!!?
Monday, February 8th, 2010i neeeed to detox from sugar, im 23 and i prob have a coupl of choc bars a day and 2 or more fizzy drinks a day. i constantly feel bloated and gross and people think im pregnant! im just sick of feeling heavy and bloated. im not huge though..im 160cm tall and 61kg,an Australian size 10 (the doc said i should be 55kg )
Ive alwatys had a podgey belly (at age 18 i burst in2 tears at a liquor shop when being told by the lady in the line behing me "i shouldnt be drinking in my condition" and back then i was only 53kg.
My job ion retail is often quiet and all the girls will say "choccy time" my body is scheduled to it and believes it cant get thru the day without it.I make excuses to myself "need it today cos its monday, need it today cos its wednesday and humpday, need it thursday to last late night trading, need it friday to get me thru the last day" and thats nerly every day lol.
Ive always thought i need to diet but couldnt stick to it but today had an epiphany i dont need to diet, just get off the sugar to start. Any tips, i feel like an addict who needs a crack fix a day!!
eat diabetic chocolate- has sugar substitute?
or have something like a biscuit instead of a choccie bar, that will ween you off gradually until you can say replace it with a nice fruit salad or something.
For the drinks- try a fruit cordial instead of fizzy drink.
