How late do the tubes run on a wednesday night ?

Can anyone remember the reason, why shops closed on a Wednesday afternoon?

It doesn’t seem to happen so much nowadays, but certain rural shops and post offices still close on a wednesday afternoons. Does anyone know why?

Going to Universal Studios Tuesday and wednesday in August, should I buy the Express Plus Pass to skip lines?

It’s going to be during the week so I am wondering if I even need to buy the pass to skip the lines? Are the lines going to be that long? It is summer so I would think so?

Has anyone been during the summer in the middle of the week? Do I need to buy the pass to skip lines?

If you can afford the express pass, I would do it. August is still really busy at the theme parks. Universal starts to calm down towards the middle & end of September.
However I would buy it only for one of the days.
This way you can do all of the rides that use express pass on one day. You will then be free to do the other rides that do not use express pass and the shows on the other. The left over time on the first day you can reride some of the coasters if you wish.
